As the President of Western Region Economic Development (WRED), I am excited about the economic development efforts taking place in Williams, McKenzie, Divide, and Mountrail counties that are fostering growth and innovation across our region. We believe that collaboration and a shared vision is vital in creating a friendly business and legislative climate. When we combine these efforts with our region’s natural resources, geography, and people you get a winning combination. WRED’s contribution is to advocate for these efforts and weigh in on legislative issues that may impact business development in our region.  It is often said that a rising tide raises all boats. We believe that positive economic growth and development in one area of the region is beneficial to all. As a nonprofit organization our goal is simple – To support and stimulate economic development in Western North Dakota.
